Valentine's Day MV

Description

A music video I made for Valentine's Day what must have been last year. I made this on Flipnote Studio. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to figure out how to post this. All the tutorials I found required softwares that were only for Windows, and I couldn't find anything that could convert an .avi file to a .swf file. So I ended up having to take it into Flash (my trial expired so I had to buy it). I imported the .gif file, but when I exported it, it kept cutting off, so I had to find the right dimensions so that it would fit okay. All that is why this is a day late. I hope this turns out alright when I post it. It might take a few refreshes to work. But anyways, I hope you like it! Now I should be able to post more flips by this same method. Enjoy!

How to post Flipnotes to DA:
*This is the only way I know how to do it, and it requires owning Adobe Flash CC and an audio editing software (Audacity or GarageBand). If you don't own one or both of these softwares, there are plenty of other tutorials out there; just search for them~
1) Export the flip as an ANIMATED (not sequential) gif. You may want to note where it was saved.
2) Remove the SD card. Use a computer with an SD card reader or use other methods to allow your computer to access the file (such as a USB drive)
3) Import the flipnote (gif file) to Flash. You can drag and drop it or import it to your STAGE
4) Find the song on YouTube.
5) Use www.youtube-mp3.org to convert the video to an MP3 file.
6) Download the MP3 file and (if necessary) clip and edit it in GarageBand or Audacity. Then export it again as an MP3. (In GarageBand, go to share, then burn to disk and save it)
7) Go back to Flash and import the MP3 audio to your LIBRARY
8) Make a new layer.
9) Go to your library and find the music file. You may have to scroll all the way to the bottom.
10) Drag the audio file into the layer. Line it up with the animation (this is the hardest part, you may have to readjust the frames and/or the audio some more in the audio-editing software)
11) Make sure everything looks good and then export your MOVIE as a .swf file.
12) Make a preview page for the animation. If you want a frame from the animation itself, go to that frame and export that FRAME as a .jpeg
13) Upload the .swf file to DA. Then put on your preview image.
14) You'll have to submit it to the category "Flash>Animations."
15) Submit it and you're done!
